The biographers of Spender and Isherwood, John Sutherland and Peter Parker discuss the lives and work of the two twentieth century giants whose writing, politics and sexuality defined a literary generation that rose to prominence in the 1930s. Parker publishes Isherwood in 2004 to celebrate the centenary of Isherwoodâs birth. Sutherland is the authorized biographer of Stephen Spender.
