Towering trees, dense undergrowth, the intermittent electrical whirr of cicadas and invisible birds; tropical rainforests are regarded as a hotspot for biodiversity. Why are these threatened forests so rich in wildlife? How are the plants that live there adapted to their environment? And what is it like to work out in the field?
