David Almond

Come to hear one of the most exciting and innovative children’s authors writing today.

David Almond’s first novel for children, Skellig, won the Whitbread Children’s Book ofthe Year and the Carnegie Medal, and his second, Kit’s Wilderness, won the Smarties Award Silver Medal. The Fire-Eaterswon the 2003 Whitbread Children’s Book award, and the Smarties Gold Award.
