Elephant in the Corridor

The story behind one of the most important long-term conservation measures for elephants in India.

India has the largest population of Asian elephants and the second largest human population in the world.
The International Fund for Animal Welfare, the Wildlife Trust of India and the government of India have pioneered the use of linkages and pathways to take advantage of natural nomadic behaviour, providing a better habitat for people and elephants.
This lecture will present the scientific and social background to the project, widely regarded as the single most important long-term conservation measure for elephants in India.
