Sandra Shevey will talk about director Alfred Hitchcock`s preference for `Aryan` Blondes at the V&A on 14 May 2010
Sandra Shevey will discuss director Alfred Hitchcock`s preference for `Aryan` Blondes prior to his move to Hollywood.
The talk, `Grace Kelly: Alfred Hitchcock`s Favourite Blonde`, will run at the V&A on Friday, 14 May 2010.
The talk will include soundbites from Sandra`s 1972 interview with the director where he evinces a prejudice for the `Aryan` Blonde.
Sandra Shevey is CEO of The Alfred Hitchcock London Locations Walk (http://sandrashevey.tripod.com/hitchcock.walks)
The talk introduces an evening of Grace Kelly/Alfred Hitchcock films including `Rear Window` and `To Catch a Thief`. Both are wonderful examples of the director`s use of locations.
Shevey`s exhibition about Alfred Hitchcock location art (his British films) has recently closed at the St. Martin`s reference library and Sandra is seeking other venues.
