The Role of Politics and Spirituality in Global Transformation

Rabbi Michael Lerner, editor of one of the West’s most respected intellectual journals, Tikkun will be the evening lecturer.

Saving the planet from environmental destruction and humanity from the spiritual degradation that accompanies the triumph of the globalisation of selfishness and materialism is too important a task to be left to the politicians who, in any event, are unable to transcend a narrow vision of ‘what is realistic.’ It is time for those who understand the relationship between science and spirit to play a significant role in transforming the world by advancing into public space the evolution of consciousness that heretofore has been largely the concern of an enlightened few.
