The lecture features celebrated Georgian actresses such as Sarah Siddons and Dorothy Jordan as well as many others.
Helga Brandt, Heritage Manager, and Lynn Whitehead, actress and Head of Learning at the Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds will transport us back to the theatre of the eighteenth and early nineteenth century. The Theatre Royal is Britain's only surviving example of a Regency playhouse, and in the lecture we will learn more about the social situation of women working in the theatre in this period.
