Drugs and Young People: is it really like Jeremy Kyle says it is?

This talk will look at the reality of drug use.

This talk will look at the reality of drug use, giving a generic over view of drugs and the effects on the mind and body. The lecture will look at a variety of drugs and their street names as well as how different drugs have effects on the mind and body depending on the drug ingested and whether it acts as a stimulant, depressant, hallucinogen or pain killer. It will look at the topical issue of the rise in popularity of ‘legal highs’ and explore the methods and strategies Drug & Alcohol teams use to support young people using these legal and illegal substances.
