Can London get its energy from renewable sources? London's first wind park is currently being built, but what do Londoners think about it? Will wind turbines release us from our reliance on fossil fuel, or sare they just a noisy, ineffective menace that desecrates the countryside and harms wildlife? What problems do renewables have to develop in this urban environment? Join us for a London centred debate on wind energy and renewables in our capital, alongside Ecotricity the company that planned and built the wind farm for the Ford dagenham plant.
This event is part of a season of energy themed events, debates and comedy nights to compliment the Science Museum's new energy gallery, Energy - fuelling the future.
The series of events gives the public the chance to ahve their say, put their questions to the experts, see stand-up comedy investigating energy and handle some extraordinary energy generating gadgets and gizmos.
From the viability of wind parks in London and nuclear power stations to supply our energy needs of the future, to the reality of poo-power and the fear of terrorism's potential effect on our energy sources this is a unique opportunity for the public to put their questions to the experts.
