The Consequences of the War in Spain and the Recovery of Historical Memory

Javier Moreno from the Domingo Malagon Foundation, explains the battle being waged in contemporary Spain over memories of the war.

Though more than seventy years have passed since the ending of the war, democratic Spain is still coming to terms with the legacy of fascism and repression. In tonight's lecture, Javier Moreno will outline the contribution of Republican fighters and International Brigaders in the struggle for Spanish democracy and will officially open the exhibition at the library.
