LSE IT Services public lecture series
LSE IT Services is pleased to present a series of evenings (19, 20 and 21 October) to help promote awareness of information security issues that are relevant to every person that uses the Internet.
With the increasing use of computers and information technology in our everyday lives, the number of threats that people face on the Internet everyday has also increased. This series is set to show what some of those threats are, how you can protect yourselves and what other people are doing to protect us
Stephan Freeman is the information security manager at the London School of Economics and Political Science, responsible for implementing information security in a challenging environment, from the ground up. He has spent his entire career in information security, previously having been information security manager at London Underground and group information security architect at Transport for London, working closely with colleagues in the Fraud and Audit departments with investigations of all types, getting involved at the design stage in numerous IT implementations and helping to develop strategy. Stephan is also secretary of the ISSA in the UK and secretary of the Information Security Awareness Forum (ISAF), as well as being a Chartered Member of the British Computer Society.
