A Guest Lecture by Toby Moores, CEO of Sleepy Dog
The world is now too complex to go it alone. Media silos are becoming ever more permeable and the strategies for creation are in flux. There is a perfect storm of change blowing across the creative landscape.
Many of our traditional industries have gone offshore to low cost providers but you can't offshore creative thinking. As a nation it is our defendable difference. Our film, fashion, music, games and TV are some of the best in the world. It has a growing significance to GDP.
The recession has had a dramatic impact on the way that we think. Fear of losing your job or a customer will always make you look at the world a little differently.
Social Media is an amplifier of Social, the normal everyday process of getting along in the world. It is also an amplifier of trust. This has far reaching consequences in business and media in particular. New ideas are fragile and trust is a critical factor in success. Toby will be discussing Sleepydog's creative approach to TV and Games in these fascinating times.
