This is a day of intensive immersion into the ancient pagan festival of Imbolc/Candlemas.
This is a day of intensive immersion into the ancient pagan festival of Imbolc/Candlemas. You will be treated to folklore, traditional customs, inner spiritual meanings -- and for ways in which Imbolc is celebrated in the present as well as in the past. This one-day course gives an intensely personal and experiential dimension grounded in information and knowledge: it includes illustrated lecture, handouts, exercises, seminar discussion, meditation and some traditional craft work. A ceremony completes the day. You will leave with solid knowledge and experiental workings which you can bring to your personal life. Tutor Suzanne Corbie has a warm, intelligent style, grounded in a personal spiritual practice. She has been studying and working with native British folk traditions for over 35 years. She has studied comparative spiritual traditions, done field work in several mystical orders, founded a morris side, is a trained dancer and dance teacher. Suzanne Corbie.
