The Low-Carbon Industrial Revolution

LSE Works: Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment


Nicholas Stern will provide an overview of progress towards low-carbon economic growth and managing the risks of climate change, offering his views on the prospects for an international agreement on climate change, including an assessment of the United Nations negotiations.

Nicholas Stern is chairman of both the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy.

Michael Jacobs has been a visiting researcher at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment since July 2010, and was appointed Visiting Professor in January 2011.

LSE Works| is a new series of public lectures, sponsored by SAGE publications|, that will showcase some of the latest research by LSE's Research Centres. In each
session, LSE academics will present key research findings, demonstrating where appropriate the implications of their studies for public policy. The previous LSE works lecture was Britain: a country divided?.
