David Watkin Professor Emeritus of the History of Architecture University of Cambridge gives this fascinating talk
The Roman Forum is one of the most famous of all historic sites - the heart of the ancient city, the hub of the Roman empire, the goal of tens of thousands of tourists. This lecture contrasts Giovanni Battista Piranesi's magnificent 18th c etchings with the archaeological remains to be seen today.
