Buddy Elias, Anne Frankâs only surviving relative, tells us about his cousin, as he remembers her.
Anne Frank dreamt of skating with her favourite cousin, Buddy Elias. In her now famous diary she confided her longing to one day dance a waltz on ice with him and even skethched the dress she would wear. He is joined by Mirjam Pressler, who translated and edited The Diary, and is the author of Treasures from the Attic, which brings together recently discovered material on Anne and her family.
Readings of passages from Tales from the Secret Annexe â“ the short stories written by Anne whilst in hiding â“ will bring to life her precocious talent as a writer.
This event will be chaired by Gillian Walnes, executive director of The Anne Frank Trust
