Raj, Rubies & Rickshaw – An Indian Evening at the Landmark

In aid of Jeevika Trust (charity no.291167), this Indian evening will include an illustrated lecture and an exclusive Indian bazaar.

In aid of Jeevika Trust (registered charity no. 291167), this lavish Indian evening will include an illustrated lecture and an exclusive Indian bazaar. The Lecture will trace the concept of ‘raj’ or power through British India, Socialist India and Village India sharing fascinating personal images of the very far north of pre-Independence India, through business experiences of Indian bureaucracy and liberation up to the 1990s, leading to the ‘two Indias’ of today – exploding urban prosperity and deepening rural poverty.

Our exclusive Bazaar will include a range of boutiques, artists, travel companies and restaurants covering a range of luxury Indian items. All of our stall holders are personally selected for their quality items, handpicked from India.
