Pagan since 1986, his approach is shamanic: trance, spirit-work, journeying and divination. He talks about the principles by which he works and the innovations of his particular approach. His books on the subject include The Pathwalker's Guide to the Nine Worlds, Wyrdwalkers: Techniques of Northern Tradition Shamanism, Jotunbok: Working With The Giants Of The Northern Tradition, Wightridden: Paths of Northern-Tradition Shamanism, and Northern Tradition for the Solitary Practitioner.
