The child is Father to the man: Lifetime management of arterial disease

In Harvey’s honour the RSM is hosting a free public lecture in association with the Harveian Society of London “The Art and Science
of Medicine”

William Harvey, 1578-1657, the great English physician and author
in 1628 of “Exercitatio Anatomica de Motu Cordis et Sanguinis in
Animalibus” (The motion of the heart and blood in animals) was the
first to describe the circulation of the blood. As emphasised by Osler,
an important physician/scientist of later years, Harvey was the first to
approach a great physiological problem by experimentation and to weigh
evidence and not go beyond it letting the conclusions emerge naturally
but firmly from the observations.
In Harvey’s honour the RSM is hosting a free public lecture in
association with the Harveian Society of London “The Art and Science
of Medicine”
Join our inaugural lecturer Professor John Deanfield as he addresses the
intriguing title “The child is father to the man; lifetime management of
arterial disease”
