The Weird o'Wonderful lectures launch with a talk by supernatural thriller author, F.G. Cottam, talking about his latest book 'The Waiting Room'.
The first in the series of Weird oâ Wonderful (WoâW) Lectures is being launched with a talk by the author of several paranormal thrillers, F.G. Cottam, on Wednesday 11th May, 2011 at 7pm at the Mansion House in central York.
F.G. Cottam will be talking about, reading from and signing copies of his recent book âThe Waiting Roomâ and there will be a drinks reception afterwards.
The Waiting Room is a gripping spine-tingler focusing on several dark and mysterious occurrences at a disused waiting room in Shale Point Station. A retired rock star, Martin Stride calls in Britainâs top ghost hunter Julian Creed, who is, until spending a night in the waiting room, a fraud and paranormal sceptic. The author has written several literary thrillers including âThe House of Lost Soulsâ, âDark Echoâ and âThe Magdalena Curseâ. He has a new book coming out in November this year called âBrodmaw Bayâ.
The WoâW Lectures will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month usually in The Guildhall. Lectures start at 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm). Tickets are £5 (£3 concessions with ID) - payable on the door.
Seats are limited. To reserve your place email wowlecturesyork@gmail.com
