How did a man who once owned slaves become, in his last public role, President of the Pennsylvania Society for the Abolition of Slavery? Franklin historian, Lady Joan Reid, will explore Franklinâs evolving views on slavery â“ from acceptance to abhorrence â“ during his lifetime.
