Can our thoughts be about anything at all? Join Richard Baron to investigate your thoughts.
We think and talk about things, and we know what other people are talking about. Thought and communication are generally about things in the outside world. But what is the link between what we think about in the outside world and what makes us think about them? Is it about how we have learnt to think and use language? What about thoughts and discussion on things that have not happened and which we cannot yet identify, like the first person to fly or visit Saturn - can our thoughts be about anything at all? Join Richard Baron to investigate your thoughts.
Richard Baron is a philosopher and author whose books include Projects and Values and Deliberation and Reason.
This event is organised in partnership with Philosophy for All.
