Lunchtime Lecture: Jews in the Netherlands

Dr Ruth Levitt discusses her research on Dutch papers in The Wiener Library.

Some 75 per cent of Dutch Jews and refugees were deported and killed in the Holocaust. But what did survival, resistance and collaboration mean in the Netherlands? Dr Levitt discusses remarkable documents held in The Wiener Library's archive that provide important insights into life in wartime Netherlands.

Dr Ruth Levitt is a Research Fellow at The Wiener Library and is working on translating and annotating documents related to the Committee for Jewish Refugees in Amsterdam.
