Hear from two experts outlining the changing understanding and treatment of war neuroses from the First World War to the present day.
Dr. Claire Chatterton (Chair of the RCN History of Nursing Society) will outline the changing understanding and treatment of psychological trauma during the First Word War. Mark Butler will then compare this with current attitudes to and treatment of PTSD. This event is co-ordinated by the RCN History of Nursing Society [link to www.rcn.org.uk/hons]
