The Second World War and the liberation of Auschwitz

: Gosia Brykczynska explores the role of healthcare workers and nurses in the survival of prisoners: the liberation of Auschwitz in 1945.


2015 is the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. In commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz, Gosia Brykczynska will explore the catastrophic aftermath of the Holocaust, and the vital support nurses provided for liberated concentration camp prisoners. Refreshments will be provided.This event is co-ordinated by the RCN History of Nursing Society www.rcn.org.uk/hons
