The Middle East - journalistic minefield?

When war in the Middle East flared last month, each side sought to portray themselves in the media as the victims of disproportionate aggression from the other.

Sensing the importance of the role of the media, the key players - the Israeli and Lebanese governments and Hezbollah - each sought to influence coverage. Journalists were caught in the middle of this propaganda war.

With unrest in the Middle East set to continue for the foreseeable future we take a look at the political and logistical minefield that reporters working in the region must negotiate.

Join us as we discuss how journalists and editors strive to do justice to a story that is not only multi-faceted and rich in subtleties but also increasingly difficult and dangerous to cover.
