Robert Fisk talks about his latest posting to Lebanon, shares his intimate understanding of the Middle East and tells us where the region-wide struggles are heading.

Winner of many British and international journalism awards, Robert Fisk has been reporting from the Middle East for nearly three decades. In this time, he has covered almost every major event in the region - among them the Algerian civil war, the Iranian Revolution, the American hostage crisis in Beirut, the Iran-Iraq War, the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, Israel's invasions of Lebanon, the Gulf War and the invasion and ongoing war in Iraq.
